The Grand Lodge of Missouri, A.F. and A.M., has a long proud history of supporting the George Washington Masonic National Memorial. In addition, many of Missouri’s important leaders were connected to important Memorial milestones. This year, the Memorial is celebrating the dedication of the George Washington bronze statue. This event in particular has special connections to Missouri, so we are honored to be able to share more information about our Jurisdiction this month at the Memorial.
The George Washington statue has special connections to Missouri. The statue was funded by the Order of DeMolay. We are proud that Kansas City, Missouri, is where Order of DeMolay began. Frank Land, its founder, and President Harry S. Truman were not just Brothers, but they were friends.
To be together at the unveiling of the statue, a special and momentous occasion, was made more meaningful by their shared history and friendship.
Missouri’s George Washington Masonic National Memorial display celebrates the connection between the Grand Lodge of Missouri and the Memorial featuring important events and important leaders, such as Past Grand Master Harry S. Truman.
The Grand Lodge of Missouri is also proud to share with you our current charitable programs that are changing the lives of thousands of members and non-member throughout our great state.
